Primary sources empower students by putting history in their hands and by building analytical skills through original materials at ¶¶Òõpro's Vatican Film Library.
The Vatican Film Library at SLU offers students the unique opportunity to learn directly from original texts, images, and manuscripts. Its collections range from the fourth century through the 17th century and represent a wide range of language and cultural traditions, including Latin, Greek, Western European vernaculars, Hebrew and Arabic.
Almost any subject area can be explored through our primary sources. We would be happy to discuss this with your class. We can help you select materials, design assignments, and provide presentations that support the objectives of your class and help your students achieve their learning goals.
Please contact us at least three weeks in advance to discuss your needs and to schedule your class. Indicate the SLU course number, course title and number of students, and include a copy of your syllabus.
