Research Interests
Chris Ealham a specialist in the 20th century History of Spain and his research focusses on the interplay between urban space, protest and repression. He has a particular interest in labour and radical history, especially that of the anarcho-syndicalist movement, about which he has published two monographs. His first monograph on Barcelona has been translated into Spanish, Catalan and French. He has also written on and participated in contemporary historical debates relating to revisionism and historical memory in Spain. He’s currently working on a new book project, a full biography of anarchist leader, "man of action" and civil war Minister of Justice, Juan GarcÃa Oliver (under contract with Debate/Random House).

He has published over 20 chapters in edited books in the UK, the US, Russia, Italy
and Spain.
Media Work
He has done media work and interviews for RTVE, TVE and TV3 in Spain, the BBC (UK)
and the Canadian Broadcasting Company.
He has also published press articles in El cultural (El Mundo), Cultura/s (La Vanguardia) and The Times Higher.
