His pastoral care for the school’s students, faculty, and broader community, has made an incredible impact on the lives of countless individuals. Father Caruso’s deep commitment to Catholic Jesuit education is an inspiration to us all and I pray the Holy Spirit will guide him in the years ahead and during this next ministry.”

“Father Caruso is a scholar-practitioner who will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the School of Education, especially in the areas of forming leaders for our Catholic schools, scholarship centered on solving real-world problems, and community outreach focused on racial justice and educational equity,” said Dr. Gary Ritter, Dean of the School of Education.
“I am looking forward to being part of the respected School of Education at Saint Louis University," Father Caruso said. "A Catholic University in the Jesuit tradition has a meaningful mission to form the spirits and minds of its students. Preparing women and men to be teachers and educational leaders for the Church and wider community is a privilege because of the expansive impact it will have on these leaders and the families they will serve. I have enjoyed meeting the administrators and faculty in the School of Education and I look forward to working with them in the future. I am very grateful to all who have welcomed me and I hope that I can be a force for good at SLU.”
Father Caruso will join the School of Education faculty full-time in August 2021.
