Geriatrics COVID-19 Resources

COVID-19 represents a major problem for older people. In addition, social isolation can increase the loneliness epidemic. The geriatrics program at pro provides this information to update older adults on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Resources for Older Adults Isolated by the COVID-19 Pandemic

Max Zubatsky, Ph.D., LMFT, and Marla Berg-Weger, Ph.D., LCSW, received a rapid response grant from the St. Louis Community Foundation to help homebound seniors who are isolated and lonely during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project will help older adults feel less isolated and stay more connected with their community through telehealth therapy, educational resources, and psychosocial groups.
