SLU Hosting AIB US Southeast Chapter Annual Conference

The Academy of International Business (AIB) US Southeast Chapter annual conference will take place from Thursday, Oct. 24, to Saturday, Oct. 26. The event will be hosted by the Boeing Institute of International Business from the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business at ¶¶Òõpro.
This year's theme, "Global Business Unbounded: Navigating Diverse Markets and Innovations," will explore critical global business challenges through workshops, panels, and networking.
As part of the conference, X-Culture teams, made up of students from around the world, will compete to solve a business case created by the conference’s industry host, Maritz. Students will also participate in a sight visit to Maritz’s headquarters in Fenton.
X-Culture is a large-scale international experiential learning project that involves over 6,500 MBA and business students from 150 universities from 70 countries on six continents every semester. As of 2023, over 105,000 students have completed the X-Culture Program.
The event will feature academic keynote speaker an expert in international business strategy. Knight is professor and the Helen Jackson Chair at Willamette University, and he is consistently ranked among the top-cited scholars in international management, marketing, and entrepreneurship. His keynote presentation will focus on technological advances as facilitators of internationalization.
The conference industry keynote speaker is David Peckinpaugh, President of Maritz Global Events. A 30+ year champion of the events industry, David provides strategic oversight of Maritz while ensuring the consistent design and delivery of engaging and inspiring experiences that drive business results.
