The Center for Research on Global Catholicism (CRGC) at ¶¶Òõpro is partnering with the St. Louis Catholic Archives (SCAC). The participating partner archives of the SCAC include:
Their holdings consist of correspondence, administration records, diaries, ministry records, regular bulletins and publications, souvenir booklets, photographs, newspapers, scrapbooks, related publications, audio-visual materials, and artifacts dating to as early as the 18th century.
Not only do the materials held in these archives illuminate the histories of the St. Louis Archdiocese, individual congregations, parishes, and other Catholic institutions, but they also provide glimpses into local, national, and world histories viewed through the lens of Catholic experiences.
Researchers will find sources illuminating a variety of themes, including trans-Atlantic networks, colonialism, education, print culture, migration and immigration, health care, social welfare, devotional labor, political movements, global economy, borderlands, disability studies, women’s history and Black history.
